SINAMICS V20 sets itself apart due to its short commissioning times, ease of operation, robustness and cost efficiency. The converter can be operated straight "out-of-the-box" without requiring additional modules. To increase energy efficiency, the converter is equipped with a control technique to achieve optimum energy efficiency by automatically reducing the flux. It alsodisplays the actual energy consumption and has additional, integrated energy-saving functions. The Keep-Running mode permits stable operation even under difficult and fluctuating line supply conditions. The converter is available in nine frame sizes in a power range that extends from 0.12 kW to 30 kW, for operation on single and three-phase line supplies (1AC 200 V to 240 V, 3AC 380 V to 480 V). Using various options, such as local Basic Operator Panel (BOP) or mobile operator panel SINAMICS V20 Smart Access Module, BOP interface, standard network cable, line filter, braking resistors, shielding, etc., the SINAMICS V20 can be individually adapted to address the requirements of the application. Furthermore, it facilitates simple system configuration with predefined macros in the converter and preconfigured function blocks from the Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal) for fast connection, e.g. to a SIMATIC S7-1200 controller.
